Gordon Mc Allister Social Sailing
ALL MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO THE OPENING OF THE SOCIAL SAILING SERIES TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY 5 th OCTOBER 2024 WBBC and the Sailing group invite all boat owners, families and crew to get involved in their own way. It could involve motoring around the bay, a row, a paddle, a sail. We will commence this year’s Gordon McAllister Social Sailing Series with renewed gusto. This first sail will be a staggered start with new participating sailors commencing at 10.30am. We hope all boats will finish at a similar time. Ivan Saric is the Sailing Group Coordinator. A lunchtime BBQ will be supplied and the bar will be open. Gordon McAllister was an iconic, early member of WBBC and was renowned for his no nonsense approach to sailing and minimal rules. It is with this spirit the club encourages members to come along and have fun - mindful that safety on the water is the priority.
